Shanghai’s very own Australian Rules Football Team was established in 2002 by a handful of expats with a real love of the game. Since then it has grown rapidly to become a competitive team within the wider Asian Football League.
The Shanghai Tigers regularly visits and hosts competitive teams from throughout South East Asia including Jakarta, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, and other parts of mainland China. A series of domestic teams and matches also challenge the club’s members to maintain fitness in between international competitions.
Become A Member
Anyone in Shanghai that can lace on a boot and make it to our weekly training sessions very quickly becomes a welcome new member of the club. Membership itself is free, with the only charges being for our use of the evergreen Pudong Jinqiao playing fields team jerseys and touring costs. Our sponsors and volunteers have been super generous in their support allowing members, their families, and the wider Australian community to enjoy a wide range of social events each year.
